Keeping Tabs On The Lab #20
To the Bored,
Good evening and thanks for reading the twentieth edition of the Bored Ape Gazetteās Keeping Tabs on The Lab Newsletter.
Itās the last week of Ape-ril and things are anything but boring around the Swamp. Yuga Labs ended the month by giving the community updates on its Legends of The Mara Otherside game, an update on the HV-MTL Collection, and 10KTF revealed a new collaboration with Puma.
Without further ado, let's ape into the news and keep tabs on the Lab!
To begin, Yuga Labs took to Twitter today and gave the community its first look at the mechanics behind its Legends of The Mara game and revealed that Otherdeed environment tiers are important.
āEnvironment tiers matter,ā Yuga Labs tweeted from its OthersideMeta account on Tuesday. āIn LoTM, an Environment tier dictates the number of workers (Koda, Kodamara, Farmer Mara, and Hunter Mara) that you can allocate to an Otherdeed. This capacity limit only applies to those in Hunter and Farmer roles, as Enchanters do not affect worker placement capacity.ā
What all this means for Voyagers is that one-tier environment Otherdeeds will only be able to have one farmer or hunter working on it at any given time while five-tier environment Otherdeeds will be able to have five workers working on it any given time.Ā
Further, Yuga Labs also announced that Enchanter Maras operate by their own set of rules and that Kodas can be assigned as Hunters, Farmers, or Enchanters during the Legends of The Mara game.
Currently there is still a lot we do not know about the Legends of The Mara game, and Yuga Labsā gaming team is expected to release its Legends of The Mara Litepaper soon. In the meantime, all Voyagers can participate in the Legends of The Mara game by claiming their Vessels here: https://lotm.otherside.xyz/expandedĀ Ā Ā Ā
As Yuga Labs released new information about its Legends of The Mara game, the company announced that it had to delay its HV-MTL collection reveal and its subsequent HV-MTL Forge game.Ā
Yesterday, the BAYC took to Twitter and announced that the HV-MTL Power sources were a little harder to figure out than originally anticipated.
āOne turn right, one turn up, three down, two upā¦ Fuck!!! Locked itself again,ā the BAYC tweeted, āWeāll need more time to figure this out.ā
Following this post, the BAYCās parent company, Yuga Labs, updated its MDVMM website to reflect the storyās updated timeline.
While Yuga Labs had to push back its HV-MTL Evo 1 reveal, the company did give HV-MTL Holders a new look at the Mechs after Gary the Dog Prophet licked another toad.
āGary licked more Toad, sketched more āfuture,ā and now he keeps on saying, āThis, soon,āā the BAYC tweeted. āOr maybe āThis soon!ā Dude is sweating.ā
In Garyās toad induced sketch, the dog prophet drew that Evo 1 Mechs are made up of at least six attributes: Body, Faceplate, Crest, Head, Back Attachments, and Weapons systems.
The Bored Ape Gazette will continue to follow the HV-MTL collection and will let you know when the Mechs are revealed.Ā
As the Yugaverse waits on the Mechs, 10KTF and the legendary Wagmi-San revealed its collaboration with Puma and announced a new ālimited edition crafting experience.ā
āAn unexpected journey sparks new inspiration when Wagmi-san and PUMA revive the classic Slipstream in the spirit of 21 PFPs, 10KTF tweeted. āBring a supported PFP to http://10ktf.shop and a Mint Pass for a Battle.town-ready NFT and matching 1:1 sneakers.. Register for the allowlist on http://PREMINT.xyz by April 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM PT.ā
