To the Bored,
I hope you’re having a great week and thanks for taking the time to read the Third Edition of “Keeping Tabs On The Lab.”
It’s been a busy two weeks around the Yuga Labs ecosystem with roadmap updates, big collabs, announcements, and a VMA performance by Bored Ape Yacht Club Members, Snoop Dogg and Eminem.
Earlier this month, the Sandbox kicked off its Alpha Season 3 and the BAYC is a part of the 10-week event.
Inside the Sandbox, Crypto Cities Development Studio designed and developed the BAYC’s Sandbox experience dubbed Miami 2035.
Along with the Sandbox experience, BAYC members were given Voxel versions of their Bored Apes to play with and explore the Sandbox Metaverse. As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, The Sandbox’s Miami 2035 was first announced in September 2021 as part of the BAYC’s Roadmap 2.0.

The BAYC not only started its Miami 2035 Roadmap objective, but the club is also working on prize distribution from its Ape Vs. Mutant Mobile Game Competition Roadmap objective.
Earlier this year, the BAYC held a mobile game competition for Apes and Mutants. BAYC members played for six days straight and worked hard to win some insane prizes.
At the time of this newsletter’s publication, the club is in the process of mailing members their prizes and some Apes and Mutants have already received their rewards.

While continuing to advance its Roadmap 2.0 objectives, the club announced a new community resource where users will be able to check that links and posts are confirmed to be from Yuga Labs.
“We've been working on a new site where our community will be able to view company announcements in a single place that Yuga owns and controls,” the BAYC wrote on Instagram. “Our ultimate goal is to provide a resource where community members can check and verify for themselves BAYC news and links they see on social platforms like this one.”
As Yuga Labs works on its new website, the BAYC community was busy working on all sorts of collabs.
Last week, BAYC inspired music group, KingShip announced a tasty collab with Mars M&M’s candies.
“The fundamental inspiration for this first-of-its-kind collaboration with M&M'S is rooted in rock 'n' roll lore and legend,” KingShip wrote in a press release. “For decades, rock bands notoriously insisted on tour riders to satisfy talent requests for specific backstage beverages, snacks and accommodations. Mars' iconic candies – including world famous M&M'S, have been included in some of the most discerning requests from some of rock n' roll's most illustrious legends.”
In total, KingShip and M&M’s released three different collectible products that featured Bored Apes on the popular snack!
While KingShip collabed with M&M’s, notable rappers and BAYC members, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, performed from the Otherside Metaverse at the Video Music Awards.
On Sunday, August 28th, Snoop Dogg and Eminem performed their hit song “From The D 2 The LBC” live at the VMAs as the rappers’ Avatars and Bored Apes broke on through to the Otherside.
During the performance, Snoop Dogg and Eminem visited the Bored Ape Yacht Club, fought some Kodas, and introduced a new audience to the Otherside metaverse.

Thank you so much for reading this week’s edition of Keeping Tabs On The Lab and stay tuned for next week’s newsletter, “The ApeCoin DAO-N LOW,” where the Gazette will take a closer look at the ApeCoin DAO.
